Heating and Air Paramedics Franchise: HVAC Services and Training

Jul 25, 2024 | 0 comments

The Heating and Air Paramedics franchise serves residential customers needing heating and air conditioning installation, repair, replacement and maintenance. It may appeal to an owner prepared to manage a technical service team, customer appointments and local business development. The model combines a recognizable service brand with operating standards, training and software requirements.

Brand history and current franchisor

PHP Franchise, LLC’s April 10, 2026 Franchise Disclosure Document identifies the Delaware company as the franchisor of Heating + Air Paramedics. Item 1 says the company formed in October 2021 and began offering franchises in November 2021. Its immediate parent is Threshold Brands.

The predecessor business, Plumbing Heating Paramedics, began operating in February 2011 and was sold to a franchisee in February 2024. The current franchise offering therefore should be understood through its present corporate structure. Plumbing Paramedics is offered by the same franchisor under a separate disclosure document.

Residential HVAC services

Item 1 describes heating and air conditioning work for residential properties, including single-family homes and apartment buildings. The business competes with independent contractors, other franchise systems and national retailers. Delivering repairs and installations requires qualified people, appropriate equipment and reliable scheduling.

The owner is responsible for meeting the licensing and qualification requirements applicable to the services offered. Brand training is distinct from the trade credentials needed to perform regulated work. The service model does not establish a guaranteed health outcome or a promise that every air-quality issue can be resolved.

Initial training and launch requirements

Item 11 provides initial training for the principal owner and up to three other people working in the business. The principal owner and any on-site supervisor must complete it satisfactorily before opening and within 120 days after signing. Training is delivered virtually and at the franchise location or another designated site.

The curriculum totals an estimated 60 hours across facilities and vehicles, management, marketing, the operating manual, recruiting, sales, customer service and software. Attendees’ expenses remain the franchisee’s responsibility. The program is designed to establish operating knowledge; it does not replace the work of recruiting and leading the local team.

The franchisor reviews the proposed facility against its standards but does not provide site selection or build-out assistance. The disclosed facility criteria include office and vehicle-storage space. Owners also receive electronic operating materials and branded email licenses for their first business.

Systems and ongoing support

The required technology covers customer management, scheduling, estimates, proposals, job costing and accounting, alongside field-service and payment systems. These tools support coordination across service calls, sales and administration. Owners must maintain systems that meet the franchisor’s specifications.

Ongoing assistance includes operating guidance, accounting and reporting standards, forms and templates, and recommendations or requirements for equipment, vehicles and business practices. Digital marketing and optional lead-generation services carry applicable fees. Access to marketing services does not guarantee a particular number of customers.

Owner involvement and financing

Item 15 requires the owner or principal owner to manage the business full-time unless the franchisor approves another arrangement in writing. An on-site supervisor must be approved and complete the initial training. Where the law requires it, the owner or principal owner must hold the business’s license.

Item 10 says the franchisor may finance up to the initial franchise fee for qualified candidates, including a creditworthiness assessment. The disclosed note carries 12% annual interest and scheduled payments over up to 24 months. Approval is conditional, and the franchisor does not guarantee the buyer’s other obligations.

Considering the opportunity

The model may suit someone who wants to lead a residential service business and can coordinate technical staff, customer communication and local marketing. Evaluate the required time commitment, hiring needs and facility requirements alongside the support package.
