About Heating & Air Paramedics

The brand’s operating roots trace to Plumbing Heating Paramedics, LLC, a Noblesville, Indiana business that began in February 2011. That company provided residential heating and air conditioning services and originally owned certain brand trademarks. PHP Franchise, LLC was formed in Delaware in October 2021 and began offering Heating + Air Paramedics franchises in November 2021. The original operating company was sold to a franchisee in February 2024.

Based in Cleveland, Ohio, the franchisor is part of Threshold Brands. It also offers Plumbing Paramedics under a separate franchise offering. Heating + Air Paramedics focuses on residential properties, including single-family homes and apartment buildings, with approved installation, repair, replacement and maintenance services. The franchise system reported 22 Heating + Air Paramedics locations at December 31, 2025.

Initial investment

The estimated initial investment is $100,935 to $193,260, including a $40,000 initial franchise fee. The estimate covers a marketing package, initial vehicle leasing and outfitting costs, training expenses, equipment, technology, inventory and opening costs. It also includes three months of additional funds; that allowance excludes employee compensation, taxes and financing costs. The owner must secure an approved operating site, with local licensing and technical staffing appropriate to the services offered.

Heating & Air Paramedics Training and Support

Initial training includes approximately 60 hours: 38 classroom hours and 22 on-the-job hours, typically spread across five to seven business days. Instruction is delivered virtually and at the franchise location or another designated site. The curriculum covers facilities and vehicles, management and finances, marketing, the operations manual, recruiting, sales and customer service, and technology. The principal owner and any on-site supervisor must complete the program before opening, no later than 120 days after signing.

Training is included for the principal owner and up to three additional participants. The franchisee pays attendee expenses; additional attendees currently incur a separate daily fee. Before opening, the franchisor reviews the proposed site, provides electronic access to the operations manual and supplies initial branded email licenses. The owner selects and develops the site and obtains local permits and licenses; franchisor site approval does not include managing construction.

After launch, support includes reasonable operating assistance, equipment and software recommendations, accounting and revenue-reporting standards, and adaptable forms and templates. Required digital marketing services and optional lead-generation or communications services carry their applicable fees. The franchisor establishes an approved online presence and manages system standards as they develop. Additional courses, conferences or a convention may be offered or required, with associated fees and travel expenses payable by the franchisee.

Why Heating & Air Paramedics

Heating + Air Paramedics offers an owner a focused position in residential HVAC: helping customers maintain, repair or replace the systems that heat and cool their homes. Installation and replacement work sit alongside maintenance and repair services, giving the business several related customer needs to address. The branded field-service format can appeal to an entrepreneur who enjoys leading technicians and building a reputation for responsive local service.

The program pairs that trade focus with business instruction in recruiting, customer service, sales and technology. Owners ordinarily manage the business full time, although the franchisor may approve a different arrangement, and an approved on-site supervisor must complete training. For someone prepared to manage a service team and meet local licensing requirements, the franchise provides a practical operating framework and ongoing resources within the Threshold Brands group.
