About Degree Wellness
Degree Wellness Franchise, LLC was organized in Delaware in February 2024 and began offering franchises in May 2024. Its principal office is in Jacksonville, Florida. The concept’s predecessor was formed in 2018, and the affiliated operating business acquired that predecessor’s assets in 2020. Amanda Watts serves as the franchisor’s president and a board member.
The studio combines services using heat, cold, light and other specialized equipment with an approved menu that also includes IV hydration and injections. The business structure distinguishes studio administration from licensed medical services. Where the studio management model applies, a licensed provider supplies medical services under a management arrangement, while the franchisee manages designated business and administrative functions.
A standard studio is expected to occupy approximately 1,800 to 2,400 square feet, typically in a high-traffic retail setting. The single-studio initial investment is estimated at $335,800 to $848,500, including a $49,500 franchise fee and an $8,000 initial training fee. The estimate covers the studio buildout, equipment, inventory, technology, presale marketing and three months of additional funds. Equipment financing assumptions affect the range: the lower estimate assumes financing all equipment, while the upper estimate assumes financing only the cryotherapy machine.
Degree Wellness Training and Support
The initial program has two components: business training and studio opening training. Business training generally takes place in the Jacksonville area after the lease is signed, typically 90 to 120 days before opening. It covers company operations, staffing plans, unit economics, performance measures, sales and the studio’s service and membership offerings. The program provides materials and instruction for up to two trainees; additional attendees and travel costs are separate.
The disclosed curriculum totals 48 classroom hours and 40 hours of on-the-job instruction, integrating self-directed, virtual, classroom and studio learning. Topics include marketing and presales, front-desk operations, software, client experience and equipment. Training for unlicensed franchisees focuses on business, retail and administrative functions. Staff participate in sessions appropriate to their roles.
For opening, Degree Wellness currently provides a corporate trainer at the first studio for up to three days, subject to scheduling and availability. The initial training fee includes that trainer’s travel for the first studio; later or additional training carries separate charges. Ongoing assistance addresses approved services and suppliers, local marketing, inventory and administrative procedures, employee training and system updates. The franchisor also provides operating manuals, digital marketing resources and additional training programs as it determines appropriate.
Why Degree Wellness
Degree Wellness gives an owner a multi-service studio concept with a single brand identity and operating framework. Customers can access several approved self-care offerings in one setting, while the team manages service delivery, memberships, scheduling and the front-desk experience. That variety can appeal to an owner who enjoys coordinating people and processes across more than one type of service.
The franchise’s training links business preparation with work inside the studio. Owners learn the management and sales functions before opening, and the opening team receives instruction in the software, equipment and customer experience. Site criteria, design specifications and approved supplier standards provide a common structure for creating the studio environment.
Ownership involves active participation unless the franchisor approves an on-site general manager to supervise daily operations. An approved manager must complete initial training before taking the role. The opportunity therefore fits owners who want to lead a wellness business directly or oversee an approved management team, with a clear division between their commercial responsibilities and the licensed professionals responsible for medical services.
