Dawn Cutillo developed BeBalanced from her work in corporate wellness and weight-management services in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. A 2019 founder interview republished by the brand describes her studies in health and physical education, exercise physiology and nutrition, together with a business minor.

Cutillo subsequently developed the Becoming Balanced program and wrote The Hormone Shift. In that interview, she explained that she and her brother David chose a staffed, face-to-face center model as the basis for franchising. The September 25, 2024 disclosure identifies Infinity Health Advisors, LLC as the Pennsylvania franchisor, formed in May 2013, and states that franchise offerings began in 2013.

That disclosure also describes site-selection guidelines, layout specifications, operations materials, equipment lists and on-site opening assistance. Owners handle the lease, adapt plans with their architect and contractor, obtain permits and carry out local advertising.

For ongoing operations, the same edition describes additional training, individual assistance through telephone, video or email, promotional artwork and updated supplier information. Availability and reasonable time limits apply to individualized assistance. Additional programs and remedial training may involve fees; the disclosure does not promise unlimited support or guaranteed customer acquisition.

BeBalanced may suit a service-oriented owner who wants to build a local business around ongoing client relationships. The combination of scheduled consultations, retail products and follow-up support creates work for someone who enjoys organization, staff coaching and community engagement.

A strong candidate would be comfortable explaining a nonmedical wellness offering accurately and setting realistic expectations with customers.
