About Stretch Lab
StretchLab began franchising through Stretch Lab Franchise, LLC in December 2017, after that company acquired the brand’s trademarks and intellectual property from the original studio operator. The current franchisor, Stretch Lab Franchise SPV, LLC, was formed in March 2023 as part of an internal reorganization and began selling franchises in April 2023. Based in Irvine, California, it is part of the Xponential Fitness organization.
The franchise operates a fitness studio offering private and group stretching sessions and other approved services. Studios use designated stretch benches, exercise equipment and service procedures. A typical site is a retail commercial space of approximately 1,100 to 1,500 square feet, with a layout designed around at least ten stretch benches. Individuals providing approved services must complete the proprietary Flexologist Training Program and meet the applicable authorization requirements.
The April 17, 2026 FDD, amended August 7, 2026, states a $60,000 initial franchise fee for a single studio. Development involves premises, construction, equipment and furnishings, technology, instructor training, initial marketing and working capital. Owners also prepare for a pre-sales phase before regular studio operations begin. Qualified developers may sign a separate multi-unit agreement with an agreed development schedule; each studio still requires its own franchise agreement and operating investment.
Stretch Lab Training and Support
StretchLab separates business training from instructor preparation. The nine-hour Owner/Operator Module covers studio sales, member onboarding and retention, marketing, retail, recruiting and daily operations. A designated manager completes a separate 21-hour module covering management software, prospect generation, pre-sales and opening, membership sales, service programs and marketing. These programs may be delivered online, at the corporate office in Irvine or at another designated location. Initial business training has no separate tuition charge when participants attend together; owners cover their attendance expenses.
All service instructors must complete the Flexologist Training Program before providing approved services. It combines online preparation, movement-analysis instruction, practical stretching work and onboarding. Subjects include anatomy and biomechanics, stretch routines, member communication, program planning, equipment and studio procedures. Instructor training carries a separate per-person fee. This technical program is distinct from the owner’s sales, staffing and management instruction.
Before opening, resources include access to the Learning Management System, studio layout and design specifications, equipment and supplier lists, and consultation on pre-sales and the Opening Support Program. The owner secures and develops an approved site; site-selection counseling and on-site opening assistance are provided at the franchisor’s discretion. After launch, StretchLab supplies advisory assistance as it considers appropriate, specifies or approves equipment and suppliers, and administers the brand marketing fund. Additional training is available on request for a fee. The franchisor may require up to five days of additional training each year without tuition, while franchisees remain responsible for travel and related costs. New instructors must complete their required preparation before serving clients.
Why Stretch Lab
StretchLab gives an owner a focused studio concept built around assisted stretching, memberships and a trained service team. The distinct owner, manager and Flexologist programs reflect the different skills needed to operate the business and deliver sessions. Brand equipment standards, service procedures and business resources provide a common operating framework for the local studio.
The opportunity can appeal to someone who enjoys recruiting, team development and building lasting customer relationships in a fitness setting. Personal daily supervision by the owner is recommended, and an approved designated manager may oversee the studio when the owner chooses that arrangement. The manager must complete the required management training and, if providing services, the Flexologist program. This lets an owner organize the management team around clearly defined business and service responsibilities.
When evaluating an ownership proposal, use our owner participation and management checklist to prepare questions about staffing, management coverage and the business responsibilities you would retain. Confirm the requirements for the specific offering.
