STORsquare Franchise Opportunity: Portable Storage and Operating Requirements

STORsquare Franchise

STORsquare offers portable storage containers and moving-related services for residential and commercial customers. Its disclosed model includes container drop-off, pickup and long-term storage. For an owner interested in logistics, the opportunity combines customer service with equipment, scheduling and inventory management.

The STORsquare Franchise Model

Item 1 of the April 20, 2026 FDD issued by STORsquare Franchise Group, LLC states that the Georgia company was organized in September 2022 and began offering franchises in March 2023. Its principal address is in Marietta, Georgia. Franchisees operate under the brand’s procedures and equipment, technology and customer-service standards.

The business requires an approved site with a secure outdoor storage lot. Item 1 specifies flat, compacted ground, suitable drainage and a base capable of supporting the operating equipment. This physical requirement belongs in the investment and location assessment; portable containers do not make the underlying operation location-free.

Our STORsquare franchise profile provides a companion overview for prospective owners.

Customers, Competition and Local Demand

The model serves residential and commercial storage and moving needs. Potential use cases include a move, a renovation or additional business storage, but the owner must assess actual demand in the proposed service area. Item 1 describes a well-developed market with local, regional and national competitors and notes that colder climates may produce cyclical demand.

Compare storage alternatives, delivery access, travel distances, container availability and customer pricing. Project revenue using realistic rental duration and utilization assumptions. Include the cost of idle containers, equipment maintenance, vehicle operation and moving containers between customers and the lot.

Initial Training and Opening Support

Item 11’s training table provides 40 virtual or classroom hours and 40 on-the-job hours. Subjects include fleet and delivery systems, risk management, sales, scheduling, dispatch, operating software and business setup. Training may take place in Marietta, online or at another designated location.

Up to two approved attendees receive initial training without tuition, while the franchisee pays travel and other attendance expenses. Additional attendees and repeat training may incur charges. At least one management employee must have completed the course, and the disclosed completion deadline is no later than 60 days before opening unless a different timeframe is approved in writing.

Pre-opening assistance includes site approval, manuals, equipment specifications, help setting up the point-of-sale system, website and email, and a pre-opening marketing plan. Opening assistance is provided in the manner the franchisor determines appropriate; extra requested support may carry fees and expenses.

Management and Continuing Responsibilities

Item 15 requires a designated Principal Executive with authority over daily operational decisions. For an entity-owned franchise, that person must hold at least a 10% interest. The business must remain under the direct, full-time supervision of a trained manager. Unless management personnel are approved to operate it, the franchisee must actively participate and devote the time reasonably necessary for efficient operations.

Those requirements are more specific than an unrestricted choice between hands-on and semi-absentee ownership. Decide who will manage dispatch, customer inquiries, delivery crews, maintenance and local business development before choosing an ownership structure.

Continuing assistance is subject to the franchisor’s discretion. The FDD describes brand standards, administration of the brand fund and approved creative materials. Local advertising and technology expenses remain operating responsibilities; marketing assistance does not guarantee customer acquisition.

Comparing Portable Storage Opportunities

Review the current FDD, equipment quotations, financing terms and lot costs together. Consider how debt payments and customer demand would affect the timing of fleet expansion. Ask existing owners about downtime, container damage, dispatch coverage and the workload required to maintain service.
