Plumbing Paramedics is a residential plumbing franchise offered by PHP Franchise, LLC. Its April 10, 2026 FDD describes the business, required training and owner responsibilities. Those requirements are a better starting point than promises of low effort, protected profit margins or guaranteed demand.
The residential plumbing model
Item 1 states that PHP Franchise, LLC was formed in October 2021 and began offering franchises in November 2021. Its immediate parent is Threshold Brands, LLC. The plumbing business serves residential property, including homes and apartment buildings.
Heating + Air Paramedics is a separate offering under a different disclosure document. A Plumbing Paramedics agreement should not be assumed to authorize HVAC work. Item 16 limits the business to authorized products and services that it is licensed to provide.
Owner involvement and technical qualifications
Item 15 requires the owner or principal owner to manage the business full time unless the franchisor approves otherwise in writing. The owner or principal owner must be the business’s license holder where applicable law requires that arrangement.
An additional on-site supervisor must be approved and complete the initial training. The FDD recommends a licensed technician or someone with similar plumbing experience for that role. Confirm the qualifications needed in the proposed market; franchise business training does not automatically satisfy local trade requirements.
Facility and opening preparation
Item 11 requires an approved site and opening within 120 days of signing, with an approved permanent site within one year. The franchisor reviews the proposed facility but does not provide site-selection or build-out assistance.
The listed site criteria include at least 1,000 square feet, appropriate utilities and communications, office workspace and warehouse or garage space for a vehicle, equipment and inventory. Plan premises, vehicles, staffing and supplies from the actual requirements rather than assuming a one-truck model establishes a low total investment.
Initial training
The principal owner and any on-site supervisor must complete the initial program before opening and within 120 days of signing. Item 11 estimates 60 hours over five to seven business days, combining 38 classroom hours with 22 practical hours.
Subjects include facilities and vehicles, management and financial matters, marketing, recruiting, sales, customer service and technology. Instruction is virtual and at the franchise location or another designated site. Up to four attendees may participate; additional attendees have a disclosed registration charge. Participants’ expenses remain the franchisee’s responsibility.
Operating support and technology
The franchisor provides an electronic operations manual, reporting requirements, examples of forms and templates, and recommendations or requirements for software, vehicles, equipment and operating practices. Reasonable operating assistance is provided as the franchisor deems appropriate.
Confirm the specific technology package, licensing charges, maintenance and update obligations. The earlier article’s claims of automatic margin protection and particular payment or inventory functions are not a substitute for the actual required-system specifications.
Marketing requires an operating budget
Item 11 describes required digital marketing services and optional additional marketing or lead-generation services, subject to fees. Optional phone and messaging services are also separately charged. Websites and other online profiles require approval.
The FDD requires at least $6,500 per month in local advertising unless the franchisor approves a lower amount under its stated criteria. Brand-fund contributions and other charges must also be reviewed. Brand-fund spending is not guaranteed to benefit an individual location proportionately or directly.
Evaluate the business in your market
Investigate local competition, technician availability, customer acquisition costs, scheduling and collection practices. Essential services can still face competitive pressure and uneven demand. Access to a franchise network does not establish a guaranteed return or a particular profit margin.
Read the Plumbing Paramedics franchise profile and obtain the current documents for your transaction. Ask current and former operators about opening costs, staffing, workload and support, then review the budget with advisers. Source: PHP Franchise, LLC FDD, April 10, 2026, Items 1, 11, 15 and 16.
