Conserva Irrigation Franchise: Services, Cost and Owner Support

Jul 25, 2024 | 0 comments

Conserva Irrigation offers a franchise opportunity built around keeping residential and commercial irrigation systems working efficiently. Its services combine sprinkler-system repair, maintenance, design and construction with a focus on water conservation. For an entrepreneur who enjoys solving property-service problems and leading a local team, the brand provides a practical connection between customer needs, field expertise and business ownership.

What does a Conserva Irrigation franchise do?

Franchisees serve homeowners and commercial customers through irrigation repair, maintenance, service, design and construction. The offering also includes landscape drainage solutions that redirect water away from foundations, landscape beds and other property features. The owner’s work involves building customer relationships, organizing service delivery and managing the business under the brand’s operating system.

How the Conserva Irrigation brand developed

The brand’s operating roots reach back to Underground Logistics, Inc., which began its irrigation business in April 2004 and adopted the Conserva Irrigation name in April 2012. Underground Logistics and Outdoor Living Brands jointly developed the concept. Outdoor Living Brands offered pilot licenses from 2014 through 2017, and the franchise system began through Conserva Irrigation Franchising, LLC in March 2017.

The current franchisor, Conserva Irrigation Franchisor, LLC, was formed in August 2021 and acquired the franchise-system assets on September 9, 2021. Based in Glen Allen, Virginia, it operates within the Empower Brands organization through Outdoor Living Brands Holdco. The 2026 disclosure describes continued research into products, services and operating methods.

Conserva Irrigation franchise cost

The January 26, 2026 Franchise Disclosure Document estimates an initial investment of $125,800–$159,500, including a standard $49,500 franchise fee. A territory exceeding 300,000 people carries an additional population fee.

Item 7 includes equipment, inventory, technology, vehicle costs, initial marketing and three months of additional funds. The estimates exclude owner compensation, initial employee benefits and taxes. A dedicated home office is permitted, while inventory and equipment storage must meet local requirements.

Initial training and opening preparation

Item 11 describes a program lasting up to ten business days, completed successfully before opening and within 120 days of signing the agreement. Its curriculum lists 54 classroom or virtual hours and 30 hands-on hours, covering field operations, irrigation products, marketing, sales, technology and business administration. Training is held in or around Richmond, Virginia, at another designated location, or virtually where applicable; timing can vary with the attendee’s experience.

The owner or approved Business Operations Manager must complete training. Additional attendees may participate without a training fee by agreement. Initial tuition is included, while the franchisee pays travel, accommodation, meals, transportation and applicable staff compensation. Opening resources include the operating manual, equipment and inventory specifications, vehicle guidance and branding, graphics and help planning the first three months of promotion. Early on-site assistance is discretionary.

Support after opening

Continuing assistance includes telephone access during regular business hours, updated operating standards, information about researched products and methods, and advertising resources through the national branding and marketing program. Supplemental, refresher and renewal training may be required, with a maximum disclosed fee of $500 per program plus travel and living expenses.

Conference attendance is currently recommended but can become mandatory, with fees and travel costs paid by the franchisee. Replacement managers must complete initial training within 90 days of the previous manager’s departure, or at the first available program when none is held during that period.

Why an owner might consider Conserva Irrigation

Conserva Irrigation brings together several customer needs—repairs, installations, maintenance and drainage—in a local service business centered on responsible water management. Its field instruction and business training can appeal to an owner interested in customer relationships, service quality and team leadership. Item 15 expects owners to devote 30–40 hours a week to the business or appoint a franchisor-approved, trained Business Operations Manager.
