Grasons is an estate sales and business liquidation franchise for owners interested in organizing sales, working with clients through significant transitions and managing a local service business. Its disclosure document describes two customer groups and a training program that combines marketing preparation with practical sale experience. The model requires active management rather than simply licensing a brand name.
Estate sales and business liquidations
Item 1 describes estate-sale services for individuals, trustees and personal representatives selling personal property after a move, divorce, death, bankruptcy or another change in circumstances. Business-liquidation services address commercial assets when a company or branch closes, relocates or encounters other changes.
Those situations can involve sensitive conversations as well as practical work. A prospective owner should be comfortable explaining the sale process, organizing a team and dealing with buyers and clients. A successful liquidation outcome cannot be assumed from the brand affiliation alone.
The franchisor and home-office model
The franchisor is B & P Burke, LLC, originally incorporated in May 2014 and converted to a limited liability company in November 2022. It began offering Grasons franchises in November 2014. The April 20, 2026 FDD, amended May 18, 2026, identifies Evive Brands, LLC as its direct parent.
The FDD anticipates a home office within the franchise territory, while requiring a valid nonresidential business mailing address. This separates the administrative base from the places where client sales occur. Franchisees are responsible for hiring decisions and employment matters.
What initial training covers
Item 11 describes approximately 13 hours of remote pre-training spread over four to six weeks. This covers the operations manual, competition, the customer experience and marketing topics such as budgeting, search visibility, social media and advertising.
Corporate training then takes place over three to four days in Huntington Beach, California, with the fourth day optional. The curriculum includes staging, pricing, client conversations, contracts, team building, referral networking and participation in an actual sale. The training table lists 24 classroom hours and 16 to 22 practical hours.
The Operating Principal and any general managers must complete initial training satisfactorily within 90 days of signing and before opening. Training may be delivered remotely at the franchisor’s discretion. On request, the franchisor provides two days of on-site training and support when the business opens, without a fee for that opening support.
Support and responsibilities after opening
The disclosed assistance includes access to the operations manual, guidance on a market-introduction plan and, on request, review of a pre-opening business plan after the agreement is signed. Ongoing advice by phone or electronic communication is available on request to the extent the franchisor considers reasonable. Additional on-site support may carry fees and travel expenses.
Item 11 also provides for recommended administrative and accounting procedures. Refresher or remedial training may be required, while an annual franchisee conference is intended and the Operating Principal must attend unless granted a written waiver. These are specific support arrangements, rather than an assurance that every operating problem will be resolved by the franchisor.
Who runs the Grasons business?
Under Item 15, the designated Operating Principal must hold at least a 10% ownership interest, have decision-making authority and devote full time and best efforts to daily management. General managers can assist, but do not replace that requirement. Personal on-site supervision of every sale is recommended rather than mandatory.
The opportunity may suit someone who enjoys organizing projects, managing people and building local professional relationships. Review the Grasons franchise profile alongside the current disclosure document to assess how those responsibilities fit your experience. The FDD’s fee, operating and financial-performance sections should be read individually; the document should not be described as a promise of expected earnings.
