Toastique’s Columbia, Maryland opening was a 2023 event. This historical update replaces the original article’s undated references to “just opened” and “last week.” Toastique’s official Columbia location page describes the restaurant as its first Maryland franchise, established in early 2023.
The Columbia opening and its owners
The brand’s 2023 opening announcement, published as sponsored coverage, announced a February 25, 2023 grand opening at 6201 Mango Tree Road. It named Kalpin Patel, Tushar Patel and Darshak Patel as the local franchise owners and described them as high school friends who had worked together.
The announcement captured their plans at that time. It does not establish present ownership, a current five-store development commitment or the restaurant’s financial performance.
