About Rainbow International Restoration
Rainbow’s predecessor was incorporated in Texas in December 1980 and began franchising in 1981. The early business centered on carpet cleaning, repair and related services, upholstery and other specialty cleaning, and deodorization. Water and smoke restoration were added in 1991, an optional air duct cleaning service followed in 1997, and the predecessor added a remediation option in 2001.
Rainbow International SPV LLC, the current Waco, Texas-based franchisor, was organized in November 2020 and succeeded the predecessor’s franchising operation through the 2021 transaction described in the FDD. The business operates within the Neighborly organization under the Rainbow Restoration brand and related Rainbow International marks. The April 1, 2026 FDD reports 328 U.S. franchises operating at December 31, 2025.
The franchise now combines restoration, reconstruction and cleaning for residential and commercial customers. Buyers may start a new business or convert a qualifying existing business into the system. The minimum initial franchise fee disclosed in Items 5 and 7 is $60,000 for a territory with up to 200,000 population, with additional territory charged separately. Air duct cleaning is an optional service requiring its own equipment and training.
Rainbow International Restoration Training and Support
Rainbow’s training program combines business preparation with technical restoration instruction. Phase I generally spans five days and uses webinars, online learning and telephone sessions for financial basics, recruiting, operational systems, vendor ordering, required certifications and an initial marketing plan. Phase II generally lasts 11 days at Waco headquarters, another designated location or remotely. It includes water restoration and structural drying instruction, estimating and job-management software, restoration skills, safety, strategic planning, sales, customer service and insurance relationships.
At least one owner or approved designated manager must complete the required initial phases. Phase I and II training are provided without an additional tuition charge for up to 12 months after signing, while franchisees pay travel and living expenses; separate certification and other training costs may apply. Further training includes fire and smoke restoration, odor control, estimating, leadership and business systems. Rainbow may also require approximately five days of field training with a selected franchisee. Mold remediation requires the applicable AMRT certification through an IICRC-approved school.
Before launch, Rainbow supplies site guidelines, approved supplier information, operating manuals, training and opening support. Ongoing assistance includes communication and manual updates, research into services and products, supplier updates, and consultation visits when the franchisor considers them necessary. The marketing fund supports brand promotion, and franchisees also conduct required local marketing. Owners attend the annual Reunion and other required education at their expense, with refresher or advanced courses available or required as determined by the franchisor. A third-party call center, paid for by the franchisee, handles rollover and after-hours customer calls.
Why Rainbow International Restoration
Rainbow Restoration offers a business built around helping customers move from property damage toward recovery. Water, fire and smoke restoration can connect with reconstruction and specialty cleaning, giving the operator a broad set of approved services for residential and commercial properties. Its history in both cleaning and restoration provides a defined operating foundation for an owner building a local service team.
This opportunity is suited to someone who wants to coordinate technical staff, maintain service standards and develop relationships with property owners and other referral sources. The combination of restoration instruction, estimating tools, business education and the Neighborly support organization is particularly relevant to an operator who wants a structured system for that work. Ownership requires direct supervision by a trained owner unless Rainbow approves a qualified manager arrangement.
