About Glass Doctor
Glass Doctor’s franchising history extends to Glass Doctor Corporation, which offered franchises from 1977 to 1998. The business became part of the organization now known as Neighborly in 1998. Today’s franchisor, Glass Doctor SPV LLC, was organized in November 2020 and is based in Waco, Texas. The system offers both startup opportunities and conversions of existing glass businesses.
Under the April 1, 2026 FDD, a new franchisee selects either the Home and Business Option or the Auto Option. Home and Business focuses on flat glass and shower enclosures for residential and commercial customers; Auto focuses on vehicle glass. The minimum initial franchise fee is $59,900 for a territory generally containing up to 300,000 people, with additional territory priced separately. The business requires an approved service-center location, equipped and branded vehicles, and the startup resources specific to the selected option.
Glass Doctor Training and Support
Training introduces owners to business operations, staffing, marketing, financial basics and the required software. Phase I may be delivered through online instruction or other designated training. Phase II generally lasts ten days, combining operations instruction at Waco or virtually with technical training and a mentorship experience involving an operating franchise. An owner and the location manager must complete the required program. The startup package includes a specified training fee, while attendees pay travel and living expenses.
Before opening, Glass Doctor provides site-selection guidelines, equipment and supplier information, operations manuals and opening support. Continuing assistance includes manual and supplier-list updates, operating consultation, periodic business visits and ongoing communications. The system also maintains a marketing, advertising and promotion fund and offers required refresher programs, regional meetings and conventions. Franchisees use designated business-management software and remain responsible for applicable software, training, travel and local marketing costs.
Why Glass Doctor
Glass Doctor gives an owner a choice between two distinct glass-service businesses. The Home and Business Option serves building-related needs such as flat glass and shower enclosures, while the Auto Option specializes in vehicle glass. This allows an operator to align the franchise selection with the customers and services they want to develop locally.
The combination of operating instruction, technical training and franchisee mentorship connects classroom learning with the work of running a glass business. Ongoing consultation, standardized systems and the Neighborly network add resources for the owner and service team. The model suits an engaged operator: direct supervision by a trained owner is generally required, with a trained manager permitted when the franchisor consents.
