About Elements Massage
Elements Therapeutic Massage was incorporated in Delaware in August 2006 and has offered franchises since 2006. The company converted to a limited liability company in October 2015. Based in Denver, Colorado, it is part of WellBiz Brands, whose related franchise systems include other personal-service and fitness businesses. Amanda Clark has served as chief executive officer since March 2024.
Elements Massage studios provide massage and approved skincare and stretching services to the general public. Clients may purchase individual services or participate in the monthly membership program, which includes specified sessions and benefits. Franchisees manage the client experience and daily business while employing appropriately qualified service providers. The studio follows the brand’s design, equipment, operating and service standards.
The franchise offers Traditional and Value Engineering studio development options, with separate construction and equipment assumptions. Studios typically occupy approximately 1,700–2,880 square feet in retail areas. The standard single-studio franchise fee is $40,000, with a separately structured development agreement for multiple studios. Startup planning includes premises and improvements, treatment-room equipment and supplies, technology, training expenses, opening marketing and additional funds for the first nine months.
Elements Massage Training and Support
The owner or operating partner and any designated manager complete the initial training program before opening. The curriculum lists 38.25 hours of home study and facilitated instruction covering recruiting, onboarding, membership sales, retention, scheduling, culture, marketing, performance measures and point-of-sale operations. The program is expected to be delivered virtually, with the curriculum also allowing a training studio, Colorado support center or another designated location. Required initial participants attend without a separate tuition charge, while extra attendees, remedial training, travel and related expenses can add costs.
A separate sales series consists of four approximately one-hour virtual calls for the owner, applicable manager and front-desk staff around opening. New-studio pre-opening training involves the management team and staff, with a franchisor training team providing up to six days of assistance. Additional operations visits may be offered. The owner remains responsible for employee training, professional qualifications, recruiting and opening requirements, including the specified massage-therapist and esthetician staffing levels.
Development support includes review of the proposed site and lease, studio layout and equipment specifications, access to the operations manual and approved supplier information. The franchisee develops the premises and purchases the required assets. After opening, the franchisor may provide guidance on client service, staffing, inventory, marketing, reporting and other operations based on the studio’s reports or inspections. Required conferences, regional meetings and further training can involve registration, tuition and travel expenses.
Marketing includes a $20,000 grand-opening spend requirement, approved local activities and membership promotion. The current monthly local requirements combine a $2,000 local advertising fee with a separate spend of at least 2% of gross receipts; a 2% Brand Marketing Fund contribution is additional. These requirements may change under the agreement. Franchisees also fund required computer and software systems, setup charges and a monthly technology fee. Brand-fund spending is allocated by the franchisor and is not guaranteed within a particular studio’s market.
Why Elements Massage
Elements Massage offers an ownership role built around managing a service team and developing long-term client relationships. Its combination of individual appointments and memberships gives the studio a clear framework for welcoming new clients and serving returning members. Massage, approved skincare and stretching services also provide several ways for the team to serve clients through one branded location.
The opportunity may suit an entrepreneur who enjoys recruiting, coaching employees and creating a consistent customer experience. The franchise connects studio-design standards, treatment-room equipment, membership processes and local marketing with training in the practical work of running the business. That combination gives an owner a defined system while leaving day-to-day leadership, staffing and community relationships in local hands.
An entity-owned franchise must designate an approved operating partner with at least a 25% ownership and voting interest. The owner or operating partner supervises the studio full time unless an approved, trained designated manager takes that role. Owners interested in leading this type of personal-service business can connect with FranchiseTop40 to explore Elements Massage development options, local staffing needs and the resources required to establish a studio.
