About ComForCare

ComForCare Franchise Systems, LLC is based in Troy, Michigan and is part of Best Life Brands. The franchisor and its predecessors began offering franchises in 2000. Businesses operate under the ComForCare names, with At Your Side Home Care used in the Houston area. Core services help people with daily living activities, companionship and household tasks, alongside on-site community care.

The standard single-unit investment in the 2026 FDD is $102,475–$163,925, including a $59,000 initial franchise fee and three to six months of additional funds. The estimate covers an office, technology, recruitment, marketing and other startup expenses. Multi-unit and reduced-initial-fee offerings have separate terms. Private duty nursing is an additional service line requiring franchisor approval after the stated operating or sales milestone, separate investment and applicable professional staffing. The standard startup estimate covers personal/domestic care and on-site community care.

ComForCare Training and Support

ComForCare describes a four-phase training program taking approximately six to eight weeks, combining self-study, eLearning, virtual classes and training at its Troy headquarters when conducted in person. The sequence moves from business preparation to operating instruction, preopening assignments and support after opening. Phase Two is approximately ten business days and is included for two people; the owner attends the full program and relevant administrative or marketing staff attend the portions connected to their roles. Attendees cover travel and living expenses.

Topics include caregiver recruitment, DementiaWise, customer service, safety in the home, client intake, care planning, relationship-based sales, local marketing, finance and business technology. ComForCare supplies operating manuals, pricing guidelines and limited office-location input. After opening, support includes operational telephone discussions and 32–40 hours of initial territory-based assistance, subject to the FDD’s scheduling terms. CaregiverFirst materials provide recruitment guidance, while approved systems support client and caregiver management.

Why ComForCare

ComForCare provides a service-focused business for owners who want to organize practical support for people living at home. Its operating model joins caregiver recruitment, client coordination and relationship-based sales, while phased training links office management with the needs of clients and caregivers. The ability to offer personal care and on-site community care gives an operator several settings in which to build local service relationships.

The franchise fits an owner prepared to lead a people-intensive operation. A single-unit owner personally supervises the business full-time, supported by a full-time administrative or marketing employee, a dedicated caregiver recruiter and nursing oversight as specified in Item 15. That staffing structure assigns attention to attracting caregivers, coordinating services and maintaining client relationships. Approved operators can later broaden their service mix through private duty nursing, providing a defined path for adding a more specialized line of care.
