About AdvantaClean Systems
AdvantaClean’s franchisor traces its corporate history to LCR Advantage Systems, Inc., incorporated in North Carolina on June 8, 2000. The company adopted the AdvantaClean Systems name in July 2003, began offering restoration and remediation franchises under the AdvantaClean trademark in 2006, and later converted from a corporation to a limited liability company at the end of 2018.
The March 25, 2026 FDD, amended August 26, 2026, documents a new ownership chapter: HFB Franchisor Holdings, LLC acquired the franchisor on May 1, 2026. The company is based in Huntersville, North Carolina, within the Homefront Brands group of related companies. The amended disclosure identifies Jeffrey Dudan as CEO and Patrick Kiessling as President from May 2026.
The current offering extends across restoration, mitigation and selected construction-related services. Approved work includes mold testing and remediation, water extraction and drying, fire and smoke cleanup, contents restoration, air duct and dryer vent cleaning, basement and crawl-space moisture control, and other authorized property services. Specific services require appropriate equipment, training and licensing. Some work is affected by weather, climate or emergency events, while other services address ongoing property-maintenance needs.
A new franchise may initially operate from an approved home office or storage facility. By the end of the first 12 months, the standard model requires an approved office, warehouse or storage location within the territory, typically 1,000 to 2,000 square feet. A business offering pack-out and contents restoration may need substantially more warehouse space. The 2026 single-business investment estimate is $171,474 to $309,944, with service choices, vehicles and premises affecting actual requirements.
AdvantaClean Systems Training and Support
Preparation starts before the academy. The FDD lists 90 hours of third-party pre-academy training and certifications, covering workplace safety, asbestos awareness, lead-safe renovation, mold inspection and remediation, air duct cleaning, water restoration and structural drying. Franchisees pay those providers. A separate franchisor pre-academy program lists 29 classroom or online hours and one practical hour on business planning, recruiting, national accounts, technology setup and operating tools.
The academy is approximately five days at the Huntersville home office or designated locations near Charlotte, North Carolina, with virtual or other formats available as designated by the franchisor. Its curriculum lists 12 classroom hours and 26 practical hours, including water restoration, mold remediation, a technology lab, consultative sales and air duct cleaning. The owner or operating principal and any designated manager must complete required training before opening. The $7,500 opening assistance fee supports training and launch setup; the owner pays travel, lodging, wages and other attendance costs.
Post-academy certifications continue after launch. The disclosed schedule lists 64 hours of third-party courses, with microbial-remediation and fire-restoration courses due within 12 months and odor-control and large-loss courses due within 24 months. Additional on-site follow-up and ride-along training may be offered at the franchisor’s discretion. Owners and managers are responsible for training and supervising the rest of their team.
Pre-opening assistance includes territory definition, site guidelines and approval, operating manuals, supplier and equipment specifications, and a dedicated business telephone number. After opening, the franchisor reviews local advertising and offers requested consulting subject to personnel availability. Additional training, conferences, on-site consulting, software and travel can carry separate costs. Call-center and work-routing services are administered at the franchisor’s discretion; they do not guarantee jobs.
Marketing combines a brand fund with owner-funded local and launch campaigns. The FDD requires at least $36,000 annually for local advertising, subject to its monthly spending provisions and permitted increases, plus separate grand-opening marketing. Required business systems support customer records, work management, inventory and reporting, with maintenance and license costs paid by the franchisee.
Why AdvantaClean Systems
AdvantaClean brings several related property needs into one franchise model: an owner can build around water and mold remediation, indoor-environment services and additional approved restoration work. That breadth can suit a buyer who wants to develop technical capabilities and relationships with residential customers, property managers and commercial clients rather than rely on a single cleaning service.
The business pairs a field-service team with structured preparation in restoration methods, consultative selling, business planning and operating technology. Initial use of an approved home office or storage facility can support the launch phase, followed by commercial premises as the business develops. The right service mix depends on the owner’s market, equipment, certifications and staffing plan.
This opportunity favors active management. The owner must give the business personal attention, or obtain approval for a trained designated manager while continuing to oversee that manager. An owner who is comfortable leading people, managing jobs and developing local referral relationships can use the franchise system as a framework for building a restoration business.
