About World Options
World Options, Inc. was incorporated in Utah in February 2016 and began offering U.S. franchises in October 2017. The brand is part of the World Options and Fortidia group. Its franchise model connects businesses with approved domestic and international carriers through a common shipping, billing and collection system.
Owners build a customer base for shipping and freight services while World Options handles customer invoicing and collections through its platform. Carrier charges and the franchise’s applicable fees are deducted before the remaining balance is paid to the franchisee. The business can be operated from a home office where local rules allow, or from a commercial office chosen by the owner.
Fees and active ownership
The initial franchise fee is $55,000, with a separate $10,000 initial marketing fee supporting lead generation and early business development. The owner or approved managing owner is responsible for full-time management. A trained, non-owner certified manager may manage the business only with the franchisor’s written approval. The operating role includes at least 40 hours per week of outside sales and customer-support activities.
World Options Training and Support
Initial training covers the shipping market, carrier requirements, the administrative and customer portals, quotes, booking, tracking and sales methods. It combines approximately 16 to 20 classroom hours with 24 hours of practical training, delivered virtually and at headquarters in Lakewood, Colorado. Training includes a development program and in-person sales days focused on prospecting, customer retention and account growth.
Two training seats are included in the initial franchise fee for the owner or managing owner and a certified manager. Participants pay their own travel, living expenses and compensation, and the required owner must complete training successfully before operating. Carrier-specific instruction and later refresher training may also be required.
Continuing support includes operating manuals and standards, billing and collection services, software access, guidance about approved services and suppliers, marketing assistance and network meetings. Help may be delivered through written materials, electronic communication, telephone or in-person consultation. Special assistance and additional training can carry separate charges. Owners remain responsible for prospecting, customer service and their local business operations.
Why World Options
World Options may appeal to an owner who enjoys consultative business sales and developing long-term customer relationships. Its approved-carrier network and common shipping platform provide a defined service offering, while centralized billing and collections support the administrative side of customer accounts. A home-office format allows the business to be organized around sales activity and customer needs.
The training connects shipping processes with practical selling skills, from preparing quotes to live prospecting and retention work. This is an active sales and service role for an owner who wants to work directly with business customers. The platform, operating standards and ongoing guidance give that owner a framework for building and managing a shipping-services business.
