About HomeCare Advocacy Network
HomeCare Advocacy Network Inc. was formed as a Delaware corporation in April 2020 and began offering franchises in June 2020. The company is based in Papillion, Nebraska. Mark Goetz has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since January 2020, and Sierra Goetz has served as Operations Director since that same period. The related intellectual-property company was established in Nebraska in December 2019.
HCAN’s offering includes hands-on personal care, non-medical assistance and companionship for seniors and other adults. The system also allows approved supplemental staffing services for healthcare settings. Home health and other medical services require separate franchisor approval, specific training, accreditation and applicable licenses; those services are not automatically included in every franchise. An existing care business may also be approved to add HCAN services through a secondary-branding arrangement.
Investment and operating base
The estimated initial investment for a single business is $141,550 to $237,600, including a $49,700 initial franchise fee and a separate $6,400 training and development fee. The estimate includes office setup, marketing and an allowance for three months of operating funds. It excludes owner compensation, personal living expenses, royalties and company-wide brand fund contributions. The business operates from a dedicated office outside the owner’s residence; approximately 600 to 800 square feet is recommended.
HomeCare Advocacy Network Training and Support
HCAN trains the Operating Principal and up to two additional people through classroom instruction, practical learning and weekly remote follow-up. The detailed curriculum lists 54 classroom hours and 82 on-the-job hours, including business training in Omaha, Nebraska, field activities and independent work over a 90-day period. Topics include personnel, customer relations, management, daily procedures, marketing, financial reporting, software and launch preparation. Required participants must complete training satisfactorily before opening, and the franchisee pays their travel and living expenses.
Before launch, HCAN provides general guidance on office selection, territory demographic information, a startup activity list, software templates and electronic access to the operations manual. It also identifies a third-party resource for the franchisee’s privacy-compliance program. Existing care businesses using secondary branding receive a customized pre-opening plan covering training and rebranding. Local licenses, employment decisions and day-to-day service delivery remain the owner’s responsibility.
Early support includes a representative visit of approximately one to two days within the first six months, and the stated ongoing program provides on-site visits during the first two years. Franchisees can use phone and email support during normal business hours and receive a location content page on the system website. Paid marketing and development services include social media, digital marketing and certain caregiver-recruiting resources. Refresher training and an annual conference support continued learning; applicable attendance and travel costs are separate, with the first conference attendance fee waived for up to two people.
Why HomeCare Advocacy Network
HCAN can appeal to an owner who wants to build a service business around dependable relationships with clients, families and caregivers. Home care combines an organizational role with a direct community purpose: coordinating assistance that helps adults manage everyday life. Its operating system addresses both client service and the practical work of recruiting, scheduling, marketing and managing a local office.
The franchise offers entry through a new care business or, when approved, an existing provider that adds HCAN services. An approved general manager may handle daily operations after completing training, while the designated Operating Principal and owners retain oversight responsibilities. For someone prepared to lead a care team and maintain the required service standards, HCAN supplies a defined training program, early field support and continuing business resources.
