About Five Star Bath Solutions
Five Star Bath Solutions is franchised in the United States by Five Star Bath, LLC, a Utah company formed in February 2014. Its Canadian affiliate, Bath Solutions Franchising, Inc., was incorporated in Ontario in November 2008 and has offered bathroom renovation franchises in Canada since that time. The brand’s development therefore includes both a Canadian bathroom renovation system and the subsequent U.S. franchisor, rather than the history of the separate Five Star Painting brand.
The company belongs to Five Star Franchising. A 2021 ownership transaction brought it under FS PEP Holdco, an affiliate of Princeton Equity Group. Its current business remains focused on selling bathroom renovation products and services through the Five Star Bath Solutions operating system, with development of products, sales tools and operating procedures forming part of the franchisor’s ongoing support.
The 2026 disclosure reports 345 franchised outlets and three company-owned outlets at December 31, 2025, across its disclosed system, which includes Canada. The total rose from 176 outlets at the end of 2023 to 309 in 2024 and 348 in 2025. These are dated network figures, not a promise of future openings or individual franchise performance.
The estimated investment is $162,000–$333,500 for one location, assuming the owner is the salesperson. The separate two-location estimate is $202,000–$570,000 and assumes hiring a salesperson. The initial franchise fee for one territory is $59,500. These figures come from the 2026 Franchise Disclosure Document, Items 5 and 7; additional territory, equipment and operating choices affect the investment.
Five Star Bath Solutions Training and Support
Preparation begins with approximately six to eight weeks of virtual pre-training led by brand coaches, covering business systems, appointment setting, marketing, hiring, production and sales. Owners then attend the training week in Warren, Michigan, or another designated location. Classroom topics include pricing, sales, safety, project organization, measuring and business software, with sales and measurement ride-alongs adding practical experience.
Initial business training is included in the franchise fee for up to two participants; additional attendees may incur a training charge. Franchisees pay their travel, lodging, meals and wage expenses. Owners or designated managers must complete the required program satisfactorily. The owner or designated installer must also complete separate product-specific installer training before operations begin. Newly hired managers must complete mandatory training within one month, at the then-current training fee.
Before opening, the franchisor supplies access to its operations manual and approved supplier list, provides orientation and offers assistance with regulatory, premises and employee preparations. Franchisees retain responsibility for their site, permits and staffing. A home office may be approved if it meets requirements for vehicle parking, materials storage and internet access.
After opening, continuing guidance covers purchasing, hiring, marketing, administration, system improvements and pricing procedures. Owners or managers attend scheduled huddles, meetings and conferences, and may be required to complete up to 20 hours of refresher programs annually, depending on availability. Refresher tuition is generally provided without charge, while travel and related attendance expenses remain the franchisee’s responsibility. Optional additional training and some on-site training can carry fees. Marketing support includes national and regional programs and access to approved materials; it does not guarantee leads or a minimum advertising spend in an individual territory.
