About CoolVu
CoolVu’s story connects window-film industry experience with franchise development. Jeff Franson founded Window Expert in Atlanta in 1992 and later developed Window Film Depot. He met franchise-development specialist Mike Herrera in 2006, bringing together complementary backgrounds in products, installation and business expansion.
The official history describes a gap between customer demand for window-film work and the resources available to independent installers. CoolVu developed a model combining product and installation knowledge with marketing and operating support. Its formation in 2021 preceded the franchise system’s launch in January 2022.
The brand’s current offering spans window film, tinting, graphics, wraps, murals and other surface improvements. Owners work from a home-office base and coordinate projects at customer sites, building relationships with homeowners, businesses and local trade and property contacts.
CoolVu Training and Support
CoolVu’s training program introduces the industry, products and customer markets alongside installation methods, estimating and business software. This combines the technical side of a project with preparing quotations and managing the business.
Ongoing support includes sales and performance coaching, marketing resources and access to CoolVu Pro field-installation assistance. The brand also describes support with larger projects, allowing owners to draw on additional installation experience as they develop their local operation.
The franchise FAQ identifies training updates, webinars, vendor relationships, regional collaboration and an annual convention among its continuing resources. These channels connect owners with product information and peers while they manage sales, customer relationships and project coordination in their markets.
Why CoolVu
CoolVu brings several related services into a locally managed project business. Window film, graphics and surface improvements create different reasons to work with residential and commercial customers, while a home-office base keeps the owner’s attention on relationships and work at customer sites.
The model may appeal to buyers who enjoy explaining options, organizing projects and developing referral relationships with trades and property professionals. The founders’ industry experience and a combination of product, sales and installation support give the local owner a defined framework for building that service business.
