About JETSET Pilates

JETSET Pilates’ first studio opened in Miami in October 2010, according to the April 17, 2026 FDD’s business history. The concept developed a modern approach to Pilates around a distinctive reformer, exercises that vary from class to class and a boutique studio environment. Its model combines group instruction with individual attention, and also offers private or dual training sessions. Monthly memberships, individual classes and class packages give clients different ways to participate.

The current franchisor, JETSET Franchising, LLC, was organized in Delaware on March 15, 2022 and began offering franchises on April 30, 2022. The franchise system’s intellectual property is held by affiliate JETSET IP Holdings, LLC, formed in February 2020, which licenses the marks to the franchisor. JETSET Holdings LLC, organized in September 2025, is identified as the franchisor’s parent. These corporate dates are separate from the earlier Miami studio history.

The 2026 FDD describes a leadership team spanning fitness, studio operations, instructor development and real estate. Bertus Albertse has been chief executive officer and Natalie Straub chief strategy officer since the franchisor’s March 2022 inception. Charly Williams, previously chief operating officer, became chief administrative officer in March 2026. Uri Kenig became chief operating officer that month after serving as head of franchise operations from February 2025. Alex Lyons has led talent and product since January 2025, and Michael Zennedjian has led real estate and construction since June 2025. Their disclosed responsibilities reflect the work involved in developing studios and maintaining the class experience across locations.

The franchise network began opening studios in 2023. Item 20 reports three franchised studios at the end of 2023, 12 at the end of 2024 and 35 at the end of 2025. The year-end 2025 system total was 40 studios, comprising 35 franchised locations—including one in Australia—and five affiliate-operated locations. The development table separately lists 223 signed agreements for studios not yet open and 101 projected franchised openings for 2026. These are dated pipeline figures, not a claim that those studios have opened. The offering includes individual studios and, for qualified developers, multi-studio development agreements with an opening schedule.

JETSET Pilates Training and Support

Owner, manager and instructor training

JETSET’s initial program prepares the Owner/Operator, initial general manager and instructors before the studio opens. Owner and manager preparation includes franchisee orientation, virtual pre-opening sessions, operational training at the headquarters training center, more than 50 hours of online learning and at least 20 hours of assistance at the studio during its first two weeks of operation. Topics include market analysis, site selection, financial reporting, hiring, presales, local marketing, Mindbody and CRM software, scheduling, facility management, instructor supervision and the studio experience. Training is supervised by Natalie Straub, Charly Williams and Alex Lyons.

Instructor preparation includes five consecutive days at a designated JETSET Training Academy—currently in Miami or Miami Beach—covering approximately 30 hours, plus 10 hours of online courses. Instructors teach 10 preview classes and pass a final evaluation before teaching regular classes. Item 11 also describes a minimum of 10 hours of preview teaching, while the agreement refers to up to 10 hours of onsite training. These descriptions are not interchangeable with a single guaranteed course total. The general training table’s printed totals do not reconcile with its individual rows, so the program is described here by its specific components.

The owner, manager and first six instructors receive initial training without additional tuition. Each further instructor sent to the Academy costs $975. Owners pay trainee wages, travel, meals and accommodation. Instruction materials and electronic learning access are supplied without an additional materials fee. All instructors must maintain professional liability insurance and current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. The studio must have at least eight trained part-time instructors, including the general manager where applicable, before opening.

JETSET also certifies Lead Instructors to help develop the local teaching team. The program includes four digital preparation hours, four days of designated-facility training, supervised feedback and teaching practice, evaluations and continuing education. Certification costs $1,950, while certification of instructors trained by an approved Lead Instructor costs $350 each. The document’s lead-training requirement states 40 hours, but the listed table components total 36; its experience criteria also differ between the Item 11 narrative and agreement. Those inconsistencies remain unresolved rather than being turned into a promised qualification timetable. Lead Instructors also take part in monthly meetings and maintain training and feedback records.

Site development and opening support

JETSET provides access to designated real estate and preconstruction/build-management providers, approves the location and studio design, supplies equipment specifications and approved-supplier information, and makes its construction and brand manuals available. Studios typically occupy 1,500 to 2,500 square feet. The owner must secure an approved site within 180 days of signing and is responsible for the lease, licensed design work, permits, construction and required equipment. The franchisor approves the site and plans but does not review the underlying lease terms.

Opening support includes a local webpage for studio information, memberships and bookings, and assistance with the grand-opening marketing program. The disclosed $45,000 launch-marketing expenditure includes at least $20,000 in digital advertising. Item 7 describes a typical 12-week campaign, while Item 11 describes 16 weeks; neither duration is presented here as a settled promise. The presales program includes event, public-relations and local activation spending, with optional paid lead-outreach services. Opening requires completed training, trained staff, insurance, permits, approved construction, a certificate of occupancy and at least 100 presold packages and memberships. JETSET determines the opening date after these conditions are met. The FDD estimates nine to 12 months to open and requires opening within 365 days unless otherwise agreed.

Continuing education and operating guidance

Instructors maintain their certification through required continuing education, two JETSET workshops annually and performance evaluations. New operators, managers and instructors must complete the applicable initial training before assuming management or teaching responsibility. JETSET may require refresher, additional or remedial training, including training following an inspection or deficient performance. System-wide refresher courses hosted online or at headquarters or a designated training facility carry no additional tuition, although owners still bear attendee expenses.

Requested special training or additional onsite assistance is discretionary and can cost up to $750 per day, plus representative travel, lodging and meals where applicable. National or regional conferences may be held and attendance is mandatory when required. The agreement limits required conference attendance to one conference every 18 months; Item 6 describes at least one within each 18-month period. Registration can cost up to $3,000 for two attendees, subject to the disclosed increases, with wages and travel costs paid separately.

Ongoing assistance includes marketing and operational guidance, recommended market-specific pricing, periodic training, exercise-program development and manual updates. Item 11 describes business-manager reviews; the agreement makes assignment of a consultant discretionary, so a fixed visit or coaching schedule is not promised. Mystery-shopper evaluations may also be used, with additional owner-funded evaluations required after below-network-average scores. The brand manual is approximately 500 pages, and mandatory updates govern studio operation.

Technology, marketing and management

Required systems support class booking, billing, customer relationships, staff scheduling, financial reporting and membership management. The current franchisor technology fee is $400 monthly and includes the learning portal, Google Workspace with three branded email accounts, webpage support and designated tools. Required third-party business-management, marketing, scheduling and branded-app subscriptions are separately listed at $709 to $725 monthly; music licensing and platform fees are $160 to $170 monthly. Hardware, maintenance and upgrades are the owner’s responsibility. The franchisor owns collected member data and grants the franchisee a license to use it in operating the studio.

After opening, required local digital marketing spending is the greater of $3,000 monthly or 3% of gross sales, through an approved vendor. The brand and system development contribution is separately the greater of 1.5% of monthly gross revenues or $150. Marketing guidance and brand materials accompany these obligations, but advertising is not guaranteed to deliver a particular number of members.

The designated Owner/Operator provides full-time management unless JETSET authorizes delegation to a trained general manager. That manager must become a certified JETSET instructor, provide full-time onsite supervision and be physically present for at least 25 hours weekly while classes are in session. The 25 hours are an onsite minimum, not a part-time management arrangement. The owner remains responsible for staffing and must take over supervision if the manager cannot perform until a suitable replacement is in place.

Training and support source: April 17, 2026 FDD, Items 6, 7, 11 and 15; franchise agreement sections 5–8. Internal discrepancies identified above remain open.

Why JETSET Pilates

JETSET Pilates offers a focused ownership opportunity for someone who wants to build a boutique fitness business around the experience clients have every time they walk into the studio. Its reformer method, certified teaching team and branded setting give the owner a defined class concept to develop locally. Memberships and class packages support ongoing client relationships, while private and dual sessions add different ways for clients to engage with the studio.

The owner’s role brings together service, team development and local business leadership. JETSET supplies a structured teaching pathway and operating tools, while the franchisee recruits instructors, shapes the local member experience and manages the studio. For a buyer who enjoys developing people and building a neighborhood fitness community, that combination gives the business a clear identity and a concrete operating purpose. Qualified buyers can also pursue a development agreement to build multiple studios on an agreed schedule.
