About SWEAT440

The SWEAT440 concept was created in 2018 by Brickhouse Athletics, LLC, the franchisor’s parent and predecessor. Sweat440 Franchise Systems, LLC was formed in Florida in November 2018 and began offering studio franchises in July 2019. Co-founders Cody Patrick and Matthew Miller are identified in the FDD, with the business based in Miami Beach, Florida. The franchise model centers on providing a consistent workout experience through its training format, equipment, studio environment and service standards.

A SWEAT440 workout takes participants through four ten-minute stations. New participants can enter the rotation every ten minutes, giving members several opportunities to start instead of a single fixed class time. The sessions combine mobility, strength, cross-training and high-intensity interval work. Studios operate through memberships and also offer approved merchandise such as apparel and accessories.

A typical studio occupies approximately 2,500–3,500 square feet and includes the workout area, locker rooms with showers, a retail boutique and customer and office space. The standard initial franchise fee for one studio is $60,000, with a separate $5,000 initial training fee for the first operating principal and studio manager. An individual franchise covers one approved location; a separate multi-unit development agreement sets out the locations and timetable for owners developing multiple studios.

SWEAT440 Training and Support

Before opening the first studio, the owner or operating principal and studio manager complete the required pre-training materials and initial training. Instruction covers studio operations, fitness class delivery, equipment use and maintenance, customer service, advertising, sales and control of operating costs. Training includes classroom or virtual instruction and practical experience in a SWEAT440 studio, with both guided and independent practice. The program also addresses booking, client check-in, billing, memberships, employee scheduling and the front-desk role.

The customer experience is a specific part of the curriculum, including introducing first-time members to the method, studio culture, greeting members and handling account policies. Staffing subjects include hiring, payroll procedures, scheduling and training standards. The owner and studio manager learn how the fitness program and administrative work connect so they can organize the day-to-day operation of the location.

Pre-opening assistance includes general site-selection criteria, design and equipment specifications, operating manuals and guidance on the market introduction plan. The franchisor provides opening assistance, and franchisees use affiliated marketing provider LeadTeam for the required studio-opening campaign and ongoing local digital marketing. After opening, advisory services address products and services, sales promotion, operating procedures, administration, bookkeeping and inventory control. Updated operating materials and supplemental or refresher training support continued use of the system.

Why SWEAT440

SWEAT440’s distinctive feature is the combination of a complete 40-minute workout with a new start opportunity every ten minutes. That operating format gives the studio a clear message for prospective members who value both small-group instruction and flexibility. The four-station layout provides a repeatable structure for the workout and the flow of participants through the space.

The business brings membership sales, customer service, fitness instruction and local marketing into one studio model. A boutique retail area adds approved merchandise to the offering, while the curriculum covers both the class experience and the systems needed to manage memberships. This can suit an owner who enjoys building a local fitness community and developing a team around a consistent service experience.

A single studio may be managed by an approved and trained studio manager, who can be the owner or an appointed employee. When a separate manager handles daily operations, the owner or operating principal remains actively involved in general management and oversight. That distinction makes the franchise suitable for an owner prepared to lead the business, whether personally managing the studio each day or supervising a qualified manager. Separate multi-unit arrangements provide a defined development structure for owners pursuing several locations.
